Then maybe we need to change our cultural expectations. If it’s really so impossible for someone to remain perfectly monogamous and faithful, then we should stop expecting it. Be honest about it. Keep it in the open. “Honey, my mistress is coming over. We’ll be busy for a while, but we’ll be down for dinner.”

People like the facade. It’s nice to think that 2 people are truly meant for each other and only each other. It does happen, it’s just not that common.
