Seriously, foreign policy is complicated. Attempting to reduce it to “we have to kill the terrorists before they kill us” is, well, exactly what the defense industry wants us to do.

The number of US citizens who have suffered as a result of international terrorism in the past 50 years, when viewed in the general context of inter- and intra-national war and strife, is laughably small.

What can I say. I’m not one of those people that see Bush and Cheney as war criminals.
