My entire universe has crumbled.

It works surprisingly well. It imposes penalties on those who call people who’ve registered; telemarketers are supposed to check the list first. It doesn’t prevent the use of out-of-date lists; if you’ve just registered, your nuisance calls won’t stop immediately, but they’ll decline in frequency over the next several weeks or months. And it doesn’t prevent companies who simply choose to ignore the penalties - usually scams of one sort or another, hoping to rake in as much cash as possible quickly and then vanishing from the face of the earth.

But as noted above, it has probably gotten rid of 90%-95% of my junk calls.
