Terrorism either is or isn’t. We’ll probably soon know whether it was terrorism in this case. This will then also apply to the people at the concert.

The sheriff was correct in not jumping to the conclusion this was a terrorist attack. What people are pointing out in the comments thread is that the media is usually not so circumspect. Whether something is described as a terrorist attack is generally highly correlated to skin color and religion.
