IIRC we’re around the same age. At one point, I was more optimistic about our generation of conservatives but millenial wingnuts have shown to me to be just as wingnutty if not more so than their parents and grandparents. Stephen Miller for example is only a few years older than I am or so.

I turn 33 in a month… just for reference. I completely agree. The current conservative ideology of those my age or younger are completely based in faith (and hatred).

Example: In college, in a Freedom of Speech class, I had a fellow student state that, “The real science is the Bible and that everything can be explained through it. Also that all of this liberal science was just based on faith (read: fossils are put here to test our faith craziness) and that history bore that out.”

I went off on the kid telling him that was the dumbest thing I had heard in 10 years and that he needed to get a grip on reality. Those people scare the hell out of me as they are so indoctrinated that they cannot tell the difference between faith and provable fact.
