re: #338 SanFranciscoZionist
Finished my Israeli movie.
Is it actually impossible for an Israeli director to make a movie with a happy ending? Is is something in the freaking WATER?
OK, “The Syrian Bride” ended on an up note, but still, this one pretty much ripped out my heartstrings. I know the ending was hokey, but I’m still sobbing.
Bloody Israelis.
On the up side, people actually spoke Hebrew in this one. I have a genius for picking Israeli movies to watch in which no one speaks Hebrew. This would be cool if I were trying to improve my Arabic. Or Georgian. Or English.
For an upbeat Israeli movie with a happy ending, watch “Ushpizin”
