If you’re driving from Atlanta to Auburn, you’re probably passing more serious schools. They do good Veterinary, and their other claim to fame is the Von Mises Nutcase Academy. Basically it’s a 50s party school.

His interest is engineering

FALLBACK (one he’s sure to get in) Southern Polytech (just north of Atlanta)
We visited there about a month ago. Very impressive for a small in-state school

TARGETS,,, 1) Auburn. 2) Georgia Tech. 3) Virginia Tech

All things being equal, I wouldn’t mind seeing him go to Auburn. Close enough to home (about a 2 1/1 drive) ,,, “traditional” campus (as opposed to intheheartofhtecity Ga Tech)
But all things are not “equal”. Being a Ga resident I would pay less tuition than I am right now for his high school

REACH ,, MIT. He actually has the grades for this (at the moment) but so many people apply with similar grades and so few accepted per year
