How can you enlighten people who will deny that the dominant species on the surface of the planet can affect the climate? How can you argue intelligently with people who will deny that trillions of tons of a gaseous insulator being released into the atmosphere might have a net warming effect? How do you reason with those who will ignore a mountain of evidence because there may be a minor issue with the data?

If you can find a way to convince them of the obvious, please, let us all know. In the meantime, i’ll continue to call those who deny the obvious morons.

Morons, eh? Well, let’s have a look at your bunk. To repeat what I’ve already quoted above:

Now, I know that “trillions of tons” seems like a lot, but when you compare this to the total mass of the atmosphere, which is on the order of several quadrillions of tons then not so much. You are making a mistake typical of lay persons when referring to large numbers but simultaneously ignoring scale. Morons indeed.
