I’d be surprised if the vast majority had more than a basic education. I’d believe that the city dwellers have a decent level, but the rural folks probably are lucky if they have more than an elementary school level of reading skill.

The people of the region have been crapped on for decades. They deserve better. Their kids deserve better.

The great tragedy is that it doesn’t have to be this way, but no one seems to care.
