I’d like to believe it so. But when I told him that the “rule” didn’t exist, that it was a fabrication and appears nowhere in the official rulebook, his response was effectively to call me a liar by saying that he’d been told about the “rule” by a long-time good friend who is also a devout Christian who would never lie to him.

I just gave up at that point, because the man is (sadly) one of the stereotypical bitter ends who is supporting Trump until his particular ox is gored.

If he’ll take the word of a “devout Christian” over his own son, that’s REALLY disturbing.
Can’t he understand that RW “Christians” lie and misinform ALL THE TIME?
