Once again I was having a nice little chat with myself on a dead thread. With all the ugly, horrible stuff going on, I had a few minutes of smile when Linda Ronstadt’s name/music came up. So I’ll pull that comment over and end my evening on a positive note:

Saw her when she was still with the Stone Poneys at a bar called The Bistro in Columbus, OH in 1967. (Also Kenny Rogers and the First Edition.) Dayum I’m old.
Have loved her all along—and really loved her duet with Aaron Neville.

I’m old too. I remember when The First Edition hosted a variety show on…I want to say CBS. After the first season they came back in the fall and all of a sudden it was “Kenny Rogers and The First Edition”. I went: “Well, lah-dee-fucking-dah!”
