Time for some basic literacy in logic:

A tautology is the opposite of a contradiction.

In a contradiction, two coupled propositions can never evaluate to true.

In a tautology, the two coupled propositions can never evaluate to false.

Our president reframes issues using strawmen and other rhetorical fallacies to create tautologies in support of his proposed course of action. Then he tells you that it would be irrational to not follow his proposed course of action.

His critics are sucked into arguing his propositions when they should attack the fallacies that were used to place the tautological pairing of said propositions in the first place.
