myself and most other outdoorsman or hunters carry no less than .357 as protection…something like a nice Blackhawk

I like the .357 but my intent isn’t to impress a bear…and the lighter .38. If you’re using a .357 snub then you’re not getting much more power than you would with a .38 (maybe an extra 400fps). Now a .357 magnum load will have considerably more power, but really, who actually needs to carry all that?
