Lots of different kinds people play that “no true scotsman” game. Personally, I’m not much for universals. But NTS can be found in lots of places, especially those that require conformity of behavior and thought as a condition for belonging.
One thing that kind of bugs me about bringing up a logical fallacy is the belief that the fallacy automatically falsifies the argument. It doesn’t, it just means that argument can’t be shown, structurally, to be valid.
