Our husky and red healer are great alarms… if they are in the right place when they need to be… last summer when the bear tore apart our front porch, we had forgot to put the dogs out that night… they were curled up in the house… it helps to put the alarms where they will be most effective.

I’ve actually seen the red healer chase a bear, trying to nip at the bears back legs.

And I’ve seen your husky sleeping comfortably in the snow, like in the movies. Give them both an ear-scratch for me.
