if a parent (or anybody) recklessly gives a legally acquired weapon to anyone (their child or otherwise) who lost their 2A rights, jail, fines and civil liability for whatever is done with that weapon.

the parent owns the weapon. the parent is responsible for its storage, use, misuse, sales, transfer, lending, etc.

But the parent does not necessarily give it to their offspring — the child figures out how to access it, and we are in the same situation as now. It won’t be until after the child commits the crime that the parent could be charged.
