TBH I wonder what the “proper thing” to say would have been. AOC hasn’t met Lieberman ever nor do I think she has ever singled him out by name not that he wouldn’t deserve it given the public option stuff but here he’s shaming a freshman Congresswoman who he knows nothing or little about outside what his bubble has told him. I would TBH feel this criticism might have some more validity if it were made by someone who has actually tried to help Dems win lately though I didn’t like Claire McCaskill who never missed an opportunity to distance herself from Obama deriding her as a shiny object. I think capitalism is strongest when it’s challenged and has to deal with the fact that it’s not as great as its proponents insist it is. Am I capitalist more than socialist? Yeah I am but I don’t worship capitalism nor any economic system. I’m glad AOC challenges our economic status quo because it needs to be challenged. The American people deserve to be told that it’s absurd that we can spend the way we do on the military but not on our population’ s welfare.
