When I was a kid, the mail used to come twice a day. Now it is down to once a day. Soon it will be down to every other day. In time, it may be reduced to the same basic schedule that the Pony Express worked on, but without the coolness factor of actually riding a horse across country.

They term this “progress”?

I can live with 5 days a week if it saves money, mail volume has been dropping for years with online bill paying an e-mail.
I have not received a real letter in weeks.
