Yea….we’re supposed to cut our own throats and hope the CRIB countries follow our glorious example.

and when they don’t, it’ll be the worst of both worlds- we still get the copious pollution from developing nations while we’ve just crippled ourselves economically.

Our only hope would be if the collective workforces of China, India, Russia and Brazil were laughing so hard at the 0’s lame attempt to lead by crippling our own economy as an example that they all simultaneously had the hiccups….

/I think there’s also provisions in there for imposing cap-and-trade style regulations on some of our trading partners, but that would simply lead to an unsustainable tit-for-tat trade war.

The way these people in power are carrying on, I thought it was only our pollution that was causing the problem.
