Indeed it is. ‘they are us’ means THEY’RE NOT MONSTERS, THEY ARE PEOPLE WHO WANT WHAT THEY THINK IS BEST FOR THE COUNTRY, JUST LIKE WE DO.

Really, you could not possibly have given me a better illustration of your mindset: in your head all liberals are evil and manipulative, and therefore anyone trying to tell other people on the left “lgf is us” MUST mean “hey! they’re evil too!”

I’m a progressive. Telling other people on the left that they should read LGF because ‘they are us’ is a compliment, not a slur.
