Officially they have no say. But, as always, Democrats have spines of jelly and there was pressure from the pro-Israel lobby to be oppose the deal. So apparently this is supposed to be a bipartisan compromise: Congress effectively gets to have the vote it was going to have anyway on lifting the sanctions, but has no say on whether the final deal is accepted.

Hence why the wingnuts are spiting and yowling.

I wish my chosen party would grow a spine. It seems they lost it back in the 1960s and haven’t found it since.
