So, my dad gets home and does some foul amount of racism. I call him out, and he uses the “Chris Rock” excuse, while saying some truly vile things.

When I find someone and have a family of my own, I am cutting him off. However, he has been abusive (emotionally, mainly) during my childhood, and I don’t plan on letting that go without a response.

In short I also wanted to know when the cutoff would be the most painful to a scumbag like my father. Refusing to invite him to a wedding, or denying him the ability to see grandchildren at the hospital?

It really sucks though that my mom continues to defend his spew, but if she wants to do that, her business.

I should also explain that the reason I am so antsy about relationships is that I want to be married before my Paternal Grandfather dies. He is paralyzed in a wheelchair. He is a very sweet old man, without any of the racism his son has. I want him at the wedding.

Quit playing around and get the fuck out now. You’re an adult.
