Trump is loved by the base because they understand he thinks like they do, it isn’t just politics, he is as simpleminded about it all as they are.

They really have found an ally in Trump.

It’s something they haven’t found in a GOP standard bearer in years. As I’ve said Trump has a lower ceiling than most elected officials but a higher floor since he inspires absolute loyalty in those who support him.
