That’s the state party of a certain former lizard who thought he had to stay in it.

If it’s who I think you’re writing about (saying he had to stay in because of his family), I imagine he’s all in on the racism and misogamy and everything else which defines Movement Conservatism.

He was just rationalising staying in the GOP because introspection would reveal himself to be a misogynist and racist.

Some people can do that introspection and change. Many can’t.
