I have some family that live overseas. It’s really not mere convenience, it’s necessity.

I’m not trying to say here “don’t use Facebook.” If you want to use it, that’s your prerogative.

I’m just pointing out all those that say “Facebook sucks” and then rationalise why they continue to use it as something other than convenience.

There isn’t anything wrong with convenience. But using Facebook or Twitter because it is convenient means you accept the bad with the good. You can work to change the culture at those corporations, but the only thing they understand is money. Look how long Twitter went (years) before they even paid lip service to harassment.
