No, Cloverfield wasn’t a ripoff of Blair Witch. It simply used the crappycam^tm process, but the movies had a different focus. Cloverfield was about a massive monster(s) taking apart NYC and following a bunch of ppl in NYC trying to figure out what was going on and how to survive.

Blair Witch was about a bunch of sniveling kids.
