Heh. Emanuel opposed holding trials for KSM in federal court; overruled by Obama and Holder. At least one guy in the Administration knew that this would be a bad political hit and unforced error that would pit the NY delegation (mostly Democrats) against the Administration. And given that Holder and Obama both are on the record saying that they would still use tribunals for certain cases, the rationale to hold some in trials makes little sense except as a political statement - which gets undermined when you raise the ire of one of the largest contingents (the NY delegation).
