Romney has never won widespread support. The not-Romney candidates have split the not-Romney vote. As they get eliminated, the one that’s left potentially collects the entire not-Romney/Tea Party vote.

Of course, you’re obviously a political analysis genius, but consider the .0001% chance that your certainty might be a tad overconfident.
