No, I’ve never been the target of a stalker (not unless high-school bullies count) I have, touch wood, been alert enough to know a potentially dangerous situation and walk to the other side of the street. I’ll confess to degree of ignorance (I keep my kids off the internet and out of chat rooms, though) as to the extent of the danger. But, would we not run a risk equal to that run by folks who (long ago) wrote letters to the editor or whose correspondence is read aloud on talking-head shows—their names and home cities are mentioned on nation-wide TV.

In short, I know it’s possible to happen. How easy would it be for am evil-minded loon to get my info so as to make it probable? I do not mean seem obtuse, but it is something which up until now I have not seriously considered.
