A friend and I went to the Grand Canyon to disperse the ashes of a dear friend who made that request. We chose to do it at dawn when the canyon is alive with color and grandeur. The problem was that as we approached the edge of the cliff to release his ashes in the wind, neither of us could do it. We both freaked, getting dizzy and weak the closer we inched towards the edge. We finally emptied the box of ashes on the ground as close as we could muster ourselves to get to the edge and let the wind take it from there.

Always felt kinda bad about that.
