They use libertarian ideals as a mechanism to espouse white supremacy. See, if we were all on a level playing field, then obviously them uppity blacks and wimminz and the dirty Joos would get put back in their proper places by the power of the white man.

It’s a bit more awful than that. They also take issue with the government actively preventing them from discriminating. (Note that there is a legitimate, if rejected by SCOTUS, line of argument on this). Ron Paul is a good example of this - he’s not really liberterian per se, he just wants most of those powers to revert from the federal government so the states can get back to what they like best.
