We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium on Sunday. The number of people with their smartphones pressed to the glass in the jellyfish exhibit - and not actually seeing the exhibit because they were too busy taking what will be shitty quailty photos with their smartphones - was beyond belief.
I go to places like that expecting to have to deal with other people’s children. To deal with adults behaving childishly, with no idea of their impact on other people, is a whole different level of frustration.
On the bright side, outside in the harbor, we got the chance to see a mother and pup otter eating within 30-40 ft. And fewer idiots with their cell phones.
