re: #28 Dark_Falcon

Rubio went after him I thought: “I disagree with Donald Trump’s latest proposal. His habit of making offensive and outlandish statements will not bring Americans together”.

So did Kasich: “The plan is just more of the ‘outrageous divisiveness that characterizes his every breath.”

But it was Paul Ryan who really smacked Trump, calling his idea: “Not what this party stands for and more importantly it’s not what this country stands for.”

And know folks here don’t like Dick Cheney, but you’ll like his reply to Trump: “I think this whole notion that we can just say no more Muslims, and just ban a whole religion goes against everything we stand for and believe in.”

I give full credit to Cheney & Ryan. Neither had to do such a thing, but there they were.

Rubio get a failing grade from me. Exactly as I said, he mostly just “disagrees”. I am waiting for someone with a legitimate chance to win the nomination denounce this disgusting business the way Graham, Cheney and Ryan did. Rubio also seems a bit hazy on the whole freedom of religion thing himself.

While I have to admit Kasich was ready to compare Trump to Hitler even before I was, he has no legitimate chance to be nominated.

You can applaud the GOP condemnation of Trump all night long, but until a LEGITIMATE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE takes the same tone with Trump that Paul Ryan did (full condemnation without a hint of “but Obama…” about it), I will not be in the least bit impressed. Maybe one of them will grow up by the debate next week, but I am not holding my breath.
