The current doctrine in the field is all McChrystal’s, set in place to promote the guidelines given to him by Obama. He’s the one who has set up the ROE which have led to an increase in US and NATO casualties over the last few months.

So his public criticisms of Obama were not only insubordination, they were also wrong-headed and no one should be defending this guy unless they have a scorching case of ODS. That’s what I thought.
