not visible one the photo, but just to the right, is a hillside dotted with a dozen or so wind turbines. The foundations were poured into decommissioned Pershing missile silos.
Had WW3 broken out in the 80’s, our little village and the neighboring hillsides would have been plastered into glowing rubble.
Story has a nice “plowshares” ring.
