That tweet made my cringe this morning but after I read it again later not so much. The wording can sound braggy but it can also be a noob trying to find some fraternal footing.

One thing’s for sure, she’s in the media capital of the world and she’ll have to contend with that dynamic like a boss and in ways other candidates don’t. She’s had more hits than misses so far, I think.

I completely agree, and think Ocasio-Cortez needs and deserves support. That does not mean completely uncritical support, but some of the kvetching I see sounds like a bunch of old jealous folks. (I’m old, too; I know my people.) And if she can get Twitterers to say “What’s Gini?” she will have done us all a great service, because most people do not know.
