Pretty sure we ‘killed Iraqis’ because Iraq was violating UN Security Council Resolutions 687, 688, and 689 on a daily basis for over 12 years. The “big lie” was just a way to get popular support for carrying out the consequences of those violations because the average Joe (with a 30 second attention span and who barely remembers what happened 6 months ago) couldn’t really give a shit less about UN resolutions from over a decade ago.
