Now, can someone untangle this for me? I understand that it’s Weiner’s underpants, and Weiner under the underpants. Who did he send it to, how, and how did the media, or whatever you consider Breitbart to be, get it? I’ve completely lost the thread.

Apparently he’s been flirting & sexting with numerous remotely located women on the internet for years, and continued to do so after his recent marriage. He also, apparently engaged in phone sex with at least one of them.

According to Breitbart, he sent the underwear photo to one of these women (who he’d been flirting with and sexting for some time) in an e-mail on May 18th. Supposedly she shared these communications, the underwear photo and more explicit photos with Breitbart more than a week before the underwear tweet that started the whole scandal.

I didn’t watch the Weiner press conference, but my understanding is that he admitted sending the underpants tweet and said he deleted it almost immediately as he sent in in error? Someone who’s been following more closely will have to fill in who he claimed it was actually intended it for.
