I get the feeling that Captain Johnson is basically sent out to push the agenda given to him by his superiors, much as Colin Powell (seen above in the RT ad) was sent out to be the face of the Bush administration.

BTW, it’s pretty fucked up (read: appeal to racism) for RT to use a picture of the only black man in a position of authority in the rush to war in Iraq instead of, say, Bush or Cheney, or hundreds of other prominent white people who pushed for the war.
