These are were my people. Also the ones who never drank, but couldn’t get a license for the same reasons they couldn’t keep a place to live, or keep track of time, or remember where they left that bike.

Habitat describes itself as a ministry. No reason not to do the same with bikes. In survivable weather, a lot of people travel the North-South routes to Florida with everything they own in panniers. (They’re usually pushing, not riding, at least in our small town.)
