I was raised on Eliahu being fed in the desert by ravens. There are lessons to be learned from that story. But if they are not orevim, but aravim, Arabs, does the text fall apart? Do I conclude that there is nothing to be learned from this text? No, I learn that there is more to be learned. And I keep travelling with the text.

Textual criticism does not close the book, it opens it further.
