If it wasn’t forged, it was lost. The “hockey stick” work is a most unfortunate misstep since it provides talking points for the other side, and talking points that cannot be shot down by simply insisting that all the science is perfect. it’s not.

It doesn’t have to be, because the science is robust. The evidence is massive and overwhelming.

Denier talking points are, unfortunately, some of them true. They’re lies nonetheless, from a certain point of view, since they don’t prove what they’re said to prove. But our work would be easier if there were no blemishes whatever in our case.
