I still can’t read the news yet. It’s all I can do to read LGF without getting too depressed to function.

I wound up binge watching all of Ken Burns’ ‘The Civil War’ yesterday (it’s all on YouTube). I had never watched it before. I finished it thinking that we’re barely more enlightened now than we were back then. At least Lincoln won re-election.

then we assassinated him. then we followed him with a guy we impeached. and then we followed HIM with a guy who ran the most corrupt administration of the 19th century. We’ve actually been in bad straits before as a nation. Believe it or not, other than my losing health insurance during the first reconciliation package, I’m moderately hopeful that we can hold out for two years, and then perhaps have generated so much disgust in the Republican brand that we pick up 3 senate seats.
