the crowd size matters because the implication of these awful signs being a majority of those attending matters - and I was there for 5 hours yesterday, and I looked at all the signage that I could - about a quarter of them, high estimate, were offensive to me _ Nazi, or Confederate or implied threats - purely anecdotal, granted - the crowd was packed onto Penna Ave, never occupied the Mall area except for overflow from the Reflecting Pond that spilled towards the Mall, and all along Penna Ave the south egress streets were blocked by police, with no complaint - the density was all along Penna Ave, the the north onto Constitution Ave after it crosses Penna, and behind the pond up to the Capitol Steps - there ain’t no way, no how that this was a 70-80K crowd - it was 5-10 times that, easy. I walked it back and forth - there were 2K steady state at the toilets, all day long - that area was no more than 1/5 an acre - the of the area filled on Penna went back to 11th and 12th streets. 70K is hogwash.
