Disagree. The purpose of a banker is to make an evaluation of fitness for a loan. That is not the role of the Fed (by which you mean the Federal Reserve, no?)

OTOH, if by “fed” you meant the Dept. of Education, I’d still say “No”. Generally speaking, it is not a good idea to have people so indebted to the government, as a student would be after 4 or 8 years.

The key is to reduce costs in education.
