I liked “World War Z” not so much for the zombies but for the way it was an allegory of the way that a crisis spreads in the modern world: first we ignore it, then deny its, then we try to hush up and cover up its existence, all of which simply promote its spread.

Then the initial “official” countermeasures backfire because they were designed to combat an entirely different kind of problem and then we finally learn to re-think our way of doing things to regain control of the situation.

And I liked “Shawn of the Dead” for the writing and acting.

The rest of the Zombie canon I can live (or be undead) without.

I can’t wait to see the Battle of Yonkers on the big screen.
