That’s what got me lurking a list of political blogs around the 2012 election. Then I joined LGF, and an anthropologist shouldn’t study his own tribe.

I did the same before the 2008 election. Probably started at huffpo in 2007. The uproar over Clinton/Obama was so nasty I couldn’t handle it.

Now that site is unreadable to me. I never go there unless someone posts a link to an article.
There are a few blogs that have pretty good commentary, but holy shit ,most of them are off-the-chart insane. No real discussion; just insults, name calling and lies.

LGF is the only blog where I have actively participated, and I lurked for a good while before registration. It just feels more like a real community that actually cares, even when we all fight!
