Speaking of blackface, a take I have which may not be popular is that its problematic that Warren listed herself as “American Indian” on her Bar registration card in 1986, in that I suspect Native Americans will find her attempt to claim that identity for herself to be offensive.

Yeah that’s going to be a problem imo. Believing the family stories that turned out being true is one thing. But this is different. It won’t justify the right’s reaction to it but it’s worthy of criticism imo.
