It’s a mixed bag for me. On one hand, as a measure of solidarity, I think it’s nice, politics and my hatred for her aside. Is anyone actually wearing the Star? The Right goes on and on about loving Israel, but do they wear any Jewish symbols? The Israeli flag even? And this isn’t any old day. It’s Jerusalem Day when we took the old city.

On the other hand, Palin likes to do it up big. Remember you could see her American Flag pin from the space shuttle.

On the other hand, I tend to doubt her sincerity overall and don’t know if this is just another one of those times when she’s pandering.

Supposedly she had a flag of Israel on her desk when she was mayor of Wasilla. I tend to be suspicious of non-Jews who make a big display of wearing obvious Judaic symbols. On the other hand, I want them to buy a bunch of bling from the Zionist Mall.
