For those who don’t know, the Night Witcheswere a WWII Soviet bombing unit that specialized in night missions. Which was a tricky proposition back then.

Tricky even for the RAF and Luftwaffe, who made a specialty of nighttime bombing with the best in available navigational and bomb-sighting technology. The Soviets’ air force barely qualified as modern on its best days; reading the Wikipedia article gives some indication as to just how hard-core these ladies had it. I learned something today.
